The Tower of Terror is one of the most impressive and easily-distinguishable sites in any Disney park, dominating the skyline and looking perfectly like a creepy, run-down hotel.

The structure in Orlando stands at a mighty 199-feet tall, which makes it the second tallest attraction in the resort, behind only Expedition Everest (119.5ft). It was initially planned to be 200ft, until they were informed that buildings of that size need to have red warning lights on top for airplanes. Fearing this would spoil the look of it, they decided on taking a foot off.

In California, it is 183ft tall, which makes it the tallest ride at Disneyland, and also one of the tallest buildings in the whole of Anaheim.
