Every Epic Rap Battles Of History Ranked

1. Steven Spielberg Vs. Alfred Hitchcock

Battle: This is a five-way battle between Steven Spielberg (Peter), Alfred Hitchcock (Lloyd), Quentin Tarantino (Wax), Stanley Kubrick (Ruggles Outbound) and Michael Bay (Peter).

It had to be the Directors battle at number one. Truly, this is ERB's masterpiece.

This one basically gets everything right. The writing is fantastic, with all five of the verses bursting with references, hilarious jokes, deliciously savage burns and smart rhymes, while this battle also showcases several different verse speeds and styles to great effect, so it's a beautifully-written episode. That being said, there's more to it.

Regarding the structure, Michael Bay's entrance at the end is very well built-up, with all of the others ripping on him in their verses before he unexpectedly arrives and drops an incredible verse.

The performances are sublime; Lloyd, Wax and Ruggles Outbound do hilarious and accurate impressions of their respectively characters while Nice Peter is absolutely hysterical as Michael Bay. The episode also has five superb beats (one for each verse) which are all very catchy and very reflective of the director in question, and very strong production values. In particular, Kubrick's entrance on Danny Torrance's tricycle is one of ERB's best visuals.

Basically, what more could you ask for? This is the pinnacle of Epic Rap Battles of History and if they ever top this, that'll be a miracle.

Best Line:

Michael Bay: "If there's one thing I've learned b**ch, this game is about motherf**king money!"
