Every Stephen King Novel Ranked Worst To Best

42. Dreamcatcher

Stephen King in It: Chapter Two
Hodder Paperbacks

Written after his famous brush with death, Dreamcatcher was written by hand and shows an author in pain. A thoroughly creepy, gross body horror, the novel has some effective passages - particularly in regards to the main cast and their relationships - but falls down over 600 pages of silly monsters, off-putting imagery and too many plot-twists.

There's enough here to make Dreamcatcher an affecting horror, but it's just too over-the-top to rank any higher.
