Every Stephen King Novel Ranked Worst To Best
49. Elevation
More of a novella than a full novel, Elevation makes the list because it was published as a single story. Set in King's recurring town of Castle Rock, the book follows Scott Carey, who grapples with the realisation he's losing weight without changing appearance. It's a simple, surreal premise, boosted by some solid characterisation and thoughtful musings on life and fate, but in the end there's just enough of it to leave a massive impression.
The ending is pretty damn good, though.
