Every Stephen King Novel Ranked Worst To Best
48. Blaze
Another of Richard Bachman's novels, Blaze was published posthumously after the pseudonym's "death," and follows a guy called Blaze, a mentally handicapped con artist who kidnaps the son of a wealthy couple and tries to get money for the child's safe return.
It's well-written and tightly-plotted, and its allusions to Of Mice and Men are often quite striking, but all told Blaze falls kind of flat by the end and is easily forgotten.
