For me, this was the most anticipated house of the event.

The team responsible for Stranger Things maze did a fantastic job of recreating the hit tv show and bringing it to life. I felt like I was there, in the show, watching the action unfold.

The Netflix show shared details with the Halloween Horror Nights creative team to ensure that what they built was representative of the first season. I felt like I was actually walking through the Byers home, "Should I Stay of Should I Go" was blasting around Will's bedroom as we walked into the Upside Down.

The cast of scare actors were good and there were plenty to give you a fright as you went. Whoever was playing Joyce Byers smashing at her wall looked so much like Winona Ryder that I was a little taken a back. The actor portraying Dustin was also particularly accurate.

I wouldn't say this was an overtly scary maze, although I got quite a few jumps throughout. It does what Universal does best, transport you away from a theme park in Orlando and right into Hawkins, Indiana. The Upside Down smelled just like I thought it would, stale and dusty. That stale smell and the what I can only describe as a mint humbug like odour at the maze's entrance, haunted me for the rest of the night.

I did this house again on my second visit but waited 'till later in the evening, when it has a more acceptable 45 minute wait. This house was well worth a long wait. It was a beautiful rendition of the show and I think even after 10 goes I wouldn't be tired of it.

Stranger Things lived up to, and exceeded my highest expectations. It would have been my favourite maze of the night, if the next maze didn't completely blow me away
