One of the most talented British writers and comics of a generation, Ricky Gervais has been directly responsible for some of the best telly in the last two decades, from the masterful (better than the American version) Office to the tearjerking Netflix series After Life.
Joe has stated his admiration for Ricky's work on several occasions with the feeling said to be mutual so who would be better to appear on the JRE in the coming year?
With a shared love of the art of comedy, the pair would no doubt find a lot to discuss in a potential episode. Perhaps most intriguingly, it would be interesting to see the pair discuss the issue of animal rights with Joe being an avid hunter and Gervias an outspoken activist in opposition to trophy killings.
Gervais recently revealed that he had been initially slated to appear on the JRE this summer, but the current global situation had forced the pair to cancel would've no doubt been a fantastic episode. Once the world goes back to some sense of normality, getting the Brit on the show is an absolute must.
