Joe Rogan Experience: 10 Early Gem Podcasts You Might Have Missed

8. Joey Diaz #219

If there was a Mount Rushmore of JRE guests, Cuban comic Joey Diaz would undoubtedly be featured. Diaz first met Rogan following a stint in prison during the late 80s, where he refined his hilarious monologues by standing on a makeshift stage and attempting to quell his rowdy fellow inmates when the film projector wasn't working.

As a result, Coco has developed a real knack for storytelling, somehow recalling every minutia of his life experiences.

And he has had some life experiences.

Diaz is still a guaranteed fixture of hilarity on the JRE, but the old-school podcasts seemed to bring something special out of him. Managing to refute the stereotype of all marijuana enthusiasts being entirely laid back and nonchalant, Diaz has an ability to launch into a ridiculously passionate rant about seemingly insignificant things.

This is perhaps best exemplified on episode #219 where Diaz embarks on a now-famous tirade about what garnish best compliments chicken wings.
