Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ vs Galaxy Note 5: 6 Key Aspects Compared

5. Display

Samsung has long been the king of smartphone displays, delivering eye-searing clarity thanks to its Super AMOLED technology and QHD resolutions. While QHD resolutions were somewhat wasted on the 5-inch display of the Galaxy S6 (the average human eye won't notice the high resolution on such a small display), they're better suited to the 5.7-inch screen real estate on the S6 Edge+ and Note 5. Looking at the display, one criticism that can be made is that it suffers from the usual Samsung ailment of being over-saturated - sort of like TV sets used to be in the early 90s, albeit with incredibly crispy visuals. This is a trait of all flagship Samsung phones though, and plenty of people see it as a strength rather than weakness. If you want more natural colours, the Samsung fan will say, go and get yourself a phone with an IPS display.
