Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ vs Galaxy Note 5: 6 Key Aspects Compared

3. Features

Chief among the new features on both phones is a new 'live broadcast' button in the camera app, which lets you instantly stream HD video to YouTube. It's a great idea, and it addresses the current trend for livestreaming, but I'm anticipating that it'll also trigger a big wave of embarrassment caused by people accidentally pressing the 'broadcast' instead of 'record' button Thanks to the S Pen, the Note 5 is very much the businessperson's phone. The Stylus lets you take clippings of your screen, have more control over screen-grabs, and hand-write with impressive precision on your screen. It's more responsive than ever, and comes with a super-satisfying clicky end that does nothing more than go 'click' when you press it. Perfect. The Note 5 appears to be a more versatile device than the Galaxy S6 Edge+. Once the novelty of Edge's cascading display wears off, there's really not much to do with that extra screen space on the left and right sides of the phone. The S Pen on the Note 5, on the other hand, is an all-round useful tool that adds a whole new world of handy perks. What really clinches things for the Note 5 is the Keyboard Cover (pictured). Even though the world has moved away from physical keyboards on phones, I hold out hope that gadgets like these could spearhead a comeback for them. Though I should add here that Samsung exec Justin Denison had some trouble writing 'Hi Mom' when demonstrating it on-stage...
