Social Media As A Grind: 10 Tips About The New Game Of (Digital) Life

9. Connect Your MySpace (If You Still Have Or Use One) To Your Twitter And Or Facebook Account

Make sure it's not connected to or from both, because you'll end up getting double posts, and that is just annoying. You only need one connection (I'd advise using the proxy as Twitter). Consider using MySpace with a specific purpose and intent, as it was purchased by Justin Timberlake in 2011 and has been slowly re-purposed to return to the forefront of its original intentions, music. If you still maintain a large friend list on MySpace, consider reaching out to all of those friends for a few days and determine those interacting from those who have no affirmation. Take a look at those with no activity, and remove the ones that have simply forgotten their profiles to the annals of the interwebs... You may need to retweak and relearn a variety of options on the Facebook and Twitter side of the tools inter-connectivity (it used to simply feed over from facebook or twitter into MySpace, now it's in reverse) to keep them organized, but I will say this...the new layouts and concepts in the use of MySpace are gorgeous, simplified, fluid, and functional. So if anything, go back and take a look at your old unused profiles, and dust that puppy off.

I'm a writer, a published author, and editor for a small independent publishing house. I'm an award winning producer of independent media, and I get to edit books, screenplays, and comics in my day to day. I love working on independent film & games, during my down time, as well as reviewing films while gobbling down milk duds (it's an addiction, I know). I've been called "Geek-Prime" among my peers for all the fandoms I work in, and I wear that title proudly. It's a passion, and an exercise in my growing profession, to get to write about what I love. Which happens to be a little of everything. But mostly film, comics, horror, games, anime, literature, and life. I do write about academic material, like politics, medicine, physics, and mathematics too. But for the most part, I like to keep things down to earth and simple. Follow me on Twitter & Facebook
