Social Media As A Grind: 10 Tips About The New Game Of (Digital) Life

8. Are You A Youtube User With Dreams Of Being A Youtube Celeb...

Youtube Featured Cool, I used to have a very popular Youtube channel with millions of views and subscriptions, it got zapped for some unknown violation, which to this day, I have no clue what it was. Caveat Emptor when it comes to Youtube, because they are extremely strict on their policies, so make sure you understand them before posting anything that could get your entire account and audience-building-work destroyed without warning. Youtube can easily be connected to auto-populate your facebook, which can feed to other sites. Similarly to your Twitter. Easy way to build a network on Youtube (aside from having material people want to see) is multi-posting and sharing your material everywhere...Again, choose the main tool for it to fill, then watch it push to your other social media profiles like wild fire. Youtube is a product of Google, and as such is directly connected to your gmail and Google+ accounts. This makes it very easy to organize and share social media scenarios. The difference here is simply that Google+ is a directly competing website with Facebook. While there is cross usage between the two, you will want to consider what either account is disseminating into the audience. In other words, if your audiences are on both networks with you, and you are sharing the same info - what's the point? With Google+ you have the Circles options, and it is a powerful tool to keep up with. Aside from a great suite of applications and integrated software tools like Blogger. G+ is a great networking media to relate to your audiences with a different take on your tools. As an example, I've recently started to use Blogger as a personal diary tool that will pump information into my G+ which will push into a personal twitter. While this information is more personal then it is business, I will be chronicling aspects of my writing career into this diary. This way my fans get more detail about my brain wracking and sleepless nights trying bang out a page. Working out a detail for one of my characters. While the business networks specifically release dates, appearances, cover images, concept art for books, interviews...etc. All the while interconnecting a larger audience through multiple tools, and opening up commentary on various fronts.

I'm a writer, a published author, and editor for a small independent publishing house. I'm an award winning producer of independent media, and I get to edit books, screenplays, and comics in my day to day. I love working on independent film & games, during my down time, as well as reviewing films while gobbling down milk duds (it's an addiction, I know). I've been called "Geek-Prime" among my peers for all the fandoms I work in, and I wear that title proudly. It's a passion, and an exercise in my growing profession, to get to write about what I love. Which happens to be a little of everything. But mostly film, comics, horror, games, anime, literature, and life. I do write about academic material, like politics, medicine, physics, and mathematics too. But for the most part, I like to keep things down to earth and simple. Follow me on Twitter & Facebook
