2. The Captains
Benjamin Sisko is not and cannot be your favourite Captain. The following thing actually happened to me and I use this experience to validate my point. A "friend" of mine, we are not friends anymore (only kidding Mum), told me that they had never really seen Star Trek but they had watched a few episodes of DS9 and that "that Sisko fellow is really handsome, much nicer than that other one" That other one I later established was William Riker. My "friend" reasoned that the attractiveness of Sisko, Avery Brooks is a handsome man, made it the "best show of the lot, better than the rubbishy one with papier mache boulders". I had to take a long lie down at this stage because I had begun hyperventilating. My point is that if you have not watched every single second of every single tv show and film you are not qualified to comment on who your favourite Captain is. If you have watched everything then you have earnt the right to pass comment on this thorny issue. You may then choose to state that Captain Sisko is your favourite Captain, you will still be wrong but you will be qualified to comment. For the record Captain Sisko didnt even gain the rank of Captain until season 3 of DS9, I dont remember Kirk having to wait that long in TOS.
