3. Generations
We dont like to talk about the film Generations, in fact we prefer to pretend it never happened and the writers of said movie had come up with a more original story line involving TOS and TNG crews but there you go. It may be 19 years since its release but it is still too early to say whether we can ever get over the death of Captain Kirk but we all grieve in different ways. Some move straight on to a new more pert Captain like Chris Pine and some of us go into deep denial and enter the Shatnerverse, which is not a euphemism. The Shatnerverse is a series of books written by the big man himself (Shatner not God) and it has an alternative ending to the film Generations, which you will be surprised to hear involves Kirk living and going on to have many more adventures and saving the universe on numerous occasions, often working alongside Captain Jean Luc Picard.
