You can't go to Halloween Horror Nights and not have a plan to get around.

Make sure that you aren't weighed down with lots of belongings. You're going to be making your way through mazes (well you might find yourself running) and navigating scare zones. Also, if you want to get through security quickly, you don't want giant backpacks which need a lot of checking.

Even though the park will be open to between 1am and 2am, you still may find it difficult to fit everything that you want to in. Some of the more popular mazes may have queues of between 90mins and 120mins! Think carefully about what you want to see. Queues will only get bigger as the night goes on.

Some attractions may still be open for you to ride. For those who want a break from the scares, a trip to The Simpsons Ride might be a nice getaway from all the chainsaws. Last year Diagon Alley and Escape from Gringotts was open too. Halloween Horror Nights can be the perfect opportunity to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the dark and also experience low queues.

There's a lot of alcohol on sale at the event so make sure that you drink responsibly and you pace yourself. Even though the vast majority of guests are well behaved there are stories of park goers attacking scare actors. Remember they don't touch you, so you don't touch them.

You might want to consider staying onsite too. At closing time the car park will be very crowded as everyone attempts to leave at once. Spending the night in a Universal hotel means that whilst everyone else is fighting to get out of the car park, you can be sound asleep.
