Revenge Of Chucky

This year Chucky has claimed a spot on a large stage in the middle of the Hollywood area of the park whilst his scary group of friends patrol the area.

Rather than being portrayed by an actor and walking through the streets, Chucky was played by a puppet and would hurl insults at those who stopped by to watch the show.

Being a fan of the Child's Play movies, I was interested to see this area come to life and I liked what they did with it. The actor who voiced Chucky was pretty spot on and had a wickedly dark sense of humour with the crowd.

There were a couple of other large sets in the area, including an Easy Bake Oven set that had roasted a person and a rather deadly game of Operation.

I liked the other characters in the area, including the naughty Tumble Monkeys who were adept at sneaking up on people, a creepy toy soldier and a broken ballerina. On my first visit, I must admit, I found the area a little sparse. Hollywood is a large area and it felt a little bare, especially as the crowd were watching Chucky roast the guests. On my second night at the event, I never felt truly relaxed in the area, even when watching Chucky, scare actors would mix in with the crowd and frighten you.

I did enjoy this scare zone and found it to be even better on my second visit. There seemed to be even more characters roaming the streets, interacting with those who were strolling through.
