Maybe you're so relieved at the long-awaited return of the Start menu that you feel no urge to mess around with it. On the other hand, you might want to re-appropriate the hell out of it so it works better for you. From colour, to opacity, to those Live Tiles that we have such mixed feelings about, the look of your Start menu is yours to do with as you damn well please. To change the colour of you Start Menu: Go to Settings > Personalization. Click Colors and take your pick. To also make your taskbar and window borders the same colour, switch on the 'Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center' slider. To make your Start menu transparent, in the Colors menu turn on the 'Make Start, taskbar, and action center transparent' slider. To change the dimensions of the Start menu: You can resize the Start menu by left-click-dragging its top and right sides. As you do this, more groups of tiles will appear to fill the space. You can rename and re-organise these groups. To resize, delete and tweak the Start menu Live Tiles: You can drag-and-drop any app or program into the Live Tile section of the Start menu. You can hide or resize a Live Tile by right-clicking it, then clicking Unpin from Start or Resize
