What Video Games Are These Currencies From?

Money makes the world go round, real world or virtual! How much of it do you know?

One of the most critical aspects of creating a great video game is establishing a world that is unique for the player. World-building makes such a difference in how believable the video game is, and thus a vast impact on the entire experience.

Because of this, many IPs have unique, particular elements that only exist in the world of the game and help to take the player to an entirely unfamiliar place. Similarly, some games take elements from the world that we already know and apply them to the game to achieve a similar goal - both methods of world-building when done right work supremely well.

All this being said, a significant factor of what makes up for a video game world's identity is the currency the place employs. Money has a big effect on our world, and thus it makes sense to allow for the virtual world to be impacted in the same way.

In most cases, games use a generic system for this; for example, it is traditional in fantasy games to use gold as currency. But some games go beyond and create new methods of wealth - as you may (or may not) already know.
