Ah, the classic progression from wrestling to Hollywood.
There is an expectation that if you can pull in a crowd at Wrestlemania then you can draw in the audiences at the cinema. Is this because studios assume the average WWE viewer will be inclined to go and watch a film about an overly large and cumbersome man being saddled with the job of a Tooth Fairy? We can't imagine why not!
It's true that some wrestlers have weathered this transition better than others; no need to mention Hulk Hogan's or Bill Goldberg's attempts at Christmas movies. Admittedly The Rock is now well recognised and appreciated as a thespian, and John Cena is heading that way too. But for every hit there is another miss.
