10 Best Managers At 2014 World Cup

8. Carlos Queiroz - Iran

Iran isn€™t likely to make much noise at the World Cup, but they are here, only the fourth time Iran has made it to this tournament, thanks in part to the managerial acumen of the Portuguese Queiroz. He did a similar job with South Africa, getting them to the 2002 World Cup, before stepping down to a conflict with the South African Football Association. Queiroz has also managed the Portuguese national team twice, admittedly with less than great results, although in 2010 they got out of a tough group and ended up barely losing to Spain, which is not a shameful thing. He had more success managing the Portuguese youth team when he began his career, and he won some silverware with Sporting as well. He probably won€™t get another chance with a big time team with dreams of winning it all, but he can still squeeze blood from a stone with teams like Iran.
