3. Millie The MothMillie the MothFinished: 17th Into the top three and one that certainly brought the spirit of the first world war flying gentry was Millie the Moth - based on a Royal Flying Corp bi-plane, which unfortunately had it's wings clipped before take off, should have had a better result if it were not for it grinding to a halt just before the finish line and being pulled over by it's two noble flyers. Indeed the smoke was a nice touch - red, white and blue carrying on the strong spirit of British pride that was evident throughout the event. It too almost survived unscathed but unfortunately it's pilots didn't quite master the landing and it's tail ended up breaking off making it unairworthy until it can be seen by a decent engineer chap.
