One of the early big money signings at City as they began their run at dominating the English game, Jo was a club record signing at the time at £19m.

A giant of a striker who on paper looked to have all the attributes needed to succeed in England, the Manchester club must have thought they'd hit the jackpot with Jo.

City might well have not bothered though, as he managed a solitary Premier League goal and added just another two in the Europa League.

His overall attitude to working hard for the cause and making things happen seemed to dissipate as the weeks ticked by without a goal.

A loan spell with Everton followed in which Jo hit some element of form, but his time in England would simply never work out.

He was shipped out on loan to Galatasaray before eventually moving back to his homeland as a player City fans would prefer to forget about.
