10. Borg El Arab Stadium (Alexandria, Egypt) - 86,000 Capacity
This stadium, opened in 2007, was originally built as part of an unsuccessful bid by Egypt to be the hosts of the World Cup in 2010. Unfortunately the stadium is not used regularly; with the average attendance in the top tier of Egyptian football being less than 20,000. However, the stadium was put into action for the opening fixture of the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, in which the hosts beat Trinidad & Tobago 4-1, and was attended by 74,000 spectators. The stadium is currently being used as the main home ground of the Egyptian National Team and has been used in the CAF Champions League.
I'm a 24 year old working in insurance; this is not the life I thought I would have as a boy. I was certain I would be playing for England by now, unfortunately I lack the necessary stamina, skill, fitness, strength and technique. However the one thing I do not lack is passion for the game and I am able to, wrongly or rightly, conjure up an opinion about any aspect of the game. Good luck with that.
