Aaron Curry was a hot prospect coming through the ranks at Wake Forest college, and in his 2007 junior year, the linebacker tied the NCAA record for most interceptions returned for touchdowns with 3. He opted against going in the 2008 Draft, and his senior year proved to be his most successful, winning the Butkus Award for his excellent performances. Curry was hailed as a 'safe pick', one that couldn't go wrong, and was even touted as high as first, but ended up going at fourth overall to the Seattle Seahawks on deal that included $34 million guaranteed - the highest amount for a non-quarterback rookie in history. He failed miserably, and was traded off to the Raiders in exchange for a seventh round pick just two years later. He faltered in Oakland too, and retired in 2013.
