10 Biggest NFL Draft Busts

7. Art Schlichter

Scenes like the one above were common for Art Schlichter as he produced some stunning wins for Ohio State, piling up 7,547 passing yards and 50 TDs during his time there, but underlying problems would ultimately crush his professional career. He was the fourth overall pick of the 1982 Draft, taken onboard by the Baltimore Colts, though he started just six games in three years with the Colts, and finished his career with a miserable 3 TDs and 11 interceptions. He gambled away his entire signing fee, and had serious addictions leading him further into debt, and was eventually banned from the league after several suspensions. Schlichter is now currently serving an 11-year jail sentence for involvement in a multi-million dollar ticketing scam.
