Instead, it was directed at Chuck Liddell prior to Jones' title defence against Glover Teixeira. Look, Chuck Liddell is retired. Jones knows this. Glover happened to train with Chuck, so of course Liddell is going to hype him up before the fight - it's part of the media game. If it all stopped there, with another silly tweet, it would have been just fine - but Jones actually started talking about a superfight with Liddell. "At the end of the day, if Chuck wants to come out of retirement, I welcome him to a super fight." That goes beyond dumb. The fact that Dana White basically forced his friend the Iceman into retirement to save his health has been well documented, and for Jones to even bring it up shows how out of touch with the fanbase he is.
