10 Exciting Prospects For The England National Team

10. Ravel Morrison

John Walton/PA Archive/Press Association ImagesJohn Walton/PA Archive/Press Association Images21 year old West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison has everything it takes to become truly great. There has to be an underlying reason why a player who possesses such immense potential was basically given away by Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. The reason seemed to be that Manchester was just not a good place for him. That's too bad for United fans. Despite looking like a real gem, since moving down south to West Ham his career has still not really taken off and he struggles to reach the heights that many expect him to. Despite lacking consistency, he did show some real flashes of brilliance here and there last season, such as the wonderful individual goal he scored against Spurs. On the whole though, he has produced little and has been loaned out to championship sides Birmingham City And QPR. That doesn't mean he won't progress, but he must knuckle down and make the most of his ability. If Ravel could learn to harness the quality that so many see in him, he could be a very exiting player for England. He is definitely not one to be written off. He has more than enough time on his hands to convert those momentary flashes into consistent ability. If he manages to do so, he could be great for England.
