9. James Ward-Prowse
Jonathan Brady/PA Archive/Press Association ImagesThe famed production line of Southampton Football Club continues to produce. This week saw Adam Lallana join fellow product Luke Shaw in leaving for a big money move to a Champions League outfit. There are a lot of players in their squad who could potentially do the same in the coming years, none more so than James Ward-Prowse. He made over 30 appearances in the Premier League last season for a very good Southampton side. The teenager has displayed a fairly complete game in that vital midfield area, especially for a player of his age. He has an ability to create chances and is extremely good in dead ball situations. Unlike most English players of the past, he is a real ball retainer. The England national team have struggled for many years to hold onto the ball, especially against opposition of real quality. Therefore, it would appear that James has a strong case for a call up. The 19 year old also has a highly competitive edge and works very hard for the team. He must improve his goals output if he is to become a legitimate force, but with so much time to grow and improve, the future looks extremely bright for the Portsmouth born teenager.
