Time: 8 seconds

James Irvin's 8-second knockout of Houston Alexander at UFC Fight Night 13 represented the start of Alexander's decline (he had been fairly over-hyped prior to losses to Thiago Silva and Irvin). It was also the peak of Irvin's career. After making quick work of Alexander, he would be booked in a gimmick match against Anderson Silva, who opted to fight up a weight class at light heavyweight for the bout. Irvin failed his post-fight drug test, faced two subsequent losses, and was released from the promotion.

He would float around the regional circuit for a while, then sign with Bellator, where he was expected to debut in 2014 after having not fought since 2012. However, an injury derailed those plans, and it remains to be seen if and when he will fight again.
