5. Don Frye

Time: 8 seconds

Don Frye is an old-school legend in the MMA world. Fighting right up til he was 46, Frye never took an easy fight, going up against solid competition to the end. He owns a bunch of quick finishes, including a 20 second stoppage at UFC 96, a 39 second stoppage at Pride Shockwave 2003, but it's his 8 second stoppage in his very first professional fight, at UFC 8 over Thomas Ramirez, that sees him added to this list.

The fight was down in hostile territory in Brazil, and incredibly, Frye's night of quick finishes didn't end there. UFC 8 was still the one-night tournament format days, and he finished Sam Adkins in just 48 seconds in his second fight before winning the UFC 8 tournament against Gary Goodridge in just over two minutes.

Okay, so remember that "never took an easy fight" comment? Well, Ramirez was basically just a big tubby guy in there, but given it was Frye's first fight, and he went up in competition after, we'll give him that one.
