Okay, so it may be slightly hyperbolic to say that Real Madrid star Gareth Bale hates playing football, but the Welsh international has gone on the record on several occasions to admit that the game is not his primary passion, and that he isn't exactly a fan of the politics that surrounds the sport.

While many of his contemporaries at the highest level of the game spend their time away from the pitch analysing footage in an attempt to get an edge on their opponents, Bale is much more at home watching his favourite sport, golf, on TV.

In fact, the star is such a huge fan of the sport that he and his Welsh teammates once jokingly celebrated a win by carrying a flag adorned with the words "Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order." That, as you can probably imagine, didn't go down too well with the Spanish club's fanbase.
