Julen Lopetegui is known more for his spell in management rather than his playing career these days, even though he played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Lopetegui made his name playing for lesser named clubs like Rayo Vallecano and Logrones, but he did make a solitary appearance for Madrid in the late '80s, before making just the five appearances for Barcelona during a three-year spell between 1994 and 1997.

The 53-year-old finds himself included in this list, however, given he returned to Madrid as a manager, be it an ill-fated spell with the club just last year.

Lopetegui is now in charge of La Liga club Sevilla, where he is slowly building back his reputation after seeing it tarnished for leaving Spain prior to the World Cup in 2018.

He's definitely someone who has made more of his managerial career rather than his playing days, but he can still hold his head high and boast playing spells with both of Spain's giants.
