10 Footballers Who Played For Both Barcelona And Real Madrid

6. Robert Prosinecki

Not many players can say they've worn the shirts of Real Madrid and Barcelona and then ended up in Portsmouth. Croatian midfielder Robert Prosinecki, however, is one man who can utter those words.

Prosinecki is better known, when it comes to football anyway, for his spell at the Bernabeu, where he became a regular fixture for Los Blancos following a move from Red Star Belgrade.

The midfielder was then at the centre of a bidding war as Madrid's city rivals, Atletico, tried to poach him. However, after becoming a free agent, Prosinecki opted to sign a more financially lucrative deal with Barcelona.

His stay at the Nou Camp lasted only a year, where he appeared in just under half the games over the course of the season.

He was superb in Euro '96 and the World Cup in 1998, before spending the latter years of his career hopping between clubs, including that year-long stay on England's south coast.
