Carlos Tevez career has been colourful to say the least, having courted controversy wherever he has gone. He wore a Manchester United top to a Corinthians press conference, was at the forefront of the infamous Sheffield United court case, crossed the Manchester divide, refused to come off the bench for Manchester City and was sensationally omitted from international duty for three years. So much has happened that its hard to remember that he actually did play for West Ham, albeit seven and a half years ago now. Still, he may be getting older but he is still doing what he does best - scoring goals. In his 60 games for Juventus, he has bagged an impressive 32 goals and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. He is one of the most clinical goal-poachers in world football and despite his questionable attitude off the pitch, he is a tireless worker on it. West Ham supporters would only dream of once again witnessing the return of the man who almost single-handedly saved them from relegation in 2007.
Ive got great memories of West Ham, they were my first European club, so Im very relaxed and looking forward to it. I would like to thank everyone, because the welcome here is always brilliant. I care very much about all the West Ham people and I always miss them. Im very, very thankful for everything. Im number one West Ham fan forever, because of the way they welcomed me, the love they showed me and everything - it was my first time in Europe and they made me who I am today. I will always be thankful to West Ham fans and Ill be West Hams number one fan. - Carlos Tevez, November 2014.
