10 Free Transfers NUFC Need To Consider
Will Mike Ashley want to spend on Transfers? Here's one way he could get around it...
Jack Colback. Free transfer. Newcastle United's signing of the season. Proving some modicum of success can be achieved by using this method of player recruitment. After all, we all know how Mike Ashley doesn't like to part with his cash in the transfer market. Instead of buying three or four 'marquee' players a season to try and kick the club onto the next level, Ashley likes to buy 'em cheap and sell 'em on at a ridiculous profit a year or two down the line. Messrs Ba, Cabaye and even Andy Carroll have all gone through the process. A process that could work for the club if Mike was willing to reinvest his profits. However, he's not. Which means Newcastle can't build anything meaningful under his running of the club. Mike's reign of terror is set to come to an end in just about a year. He, and his MD Lee Charnley, expressed their plans to sell the club on at the end of the 2015/16 season (when Rangers are conveniently back in the Scottish Premier League and should be in a position to qualify for Europe, giving S***** D***** some much sought after continental exposure). So, this begs the question if Mike will spend ANY money this upcoming summer if Newcastle avoid the drop should he be planning to leave NE1 at the end of the season. He should be, considering the fact that a Premier League outfit is a lot more an appealing prospect than a Championship team. So if he's not willing to part with his cash, here's 10 potential free signings he needs to get over the line this summer...
