However, his move to Chelsea has heralded an embarrassing dry spell for the most expensive striker in English League history. He has scored a miserly 15 league goals in 3 seasons, since his mid-season switch in 2010-11, and with 8 strikes last time out from 36 appearances, he will have a fair bit of form-rediscovering to do before he gives Van Persie and company any nightmares.
