4. Peyton Manning - Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos

Ask anyone where Manning sits among the all time greats and the answers could range from number one to number ten, possibly even outside of the top ten. While there's no denying Peyton is a truly great quarterback, easily the greatest regular season quarterback of all time, it's his performance in the postseason that keeps him outside of the top three. Drafted first overall by the Colts, Manning has produced some of the most outstanding regular season numbers the NFL has ever seen. His 13 seasons with over 4,000 yards is the most in NFL history. In 2013 he set new single season records for passing yards (5,477) and touchdowns (55). His career yardage (64,964) and touchdown passes (491) both sit second all time, behind Brett Favre. Manning holds numerous other single season and career records. He has won a league record five MVP awards and led the Colts to victory in Super Bowl XLI. Where Manning draws some negative light has been his performances in the playoffs. His inability to win in big games has forced some people to question his level of eliteness. He has a losing record of 1-2 in Super Bowls, and has often thrown untimely interceptions in key moments. Perhaps the worst of his records, Peyton has the most postseason losses by any quarterback with 12.
