10 Hardest Men That Ever Played For Arsenal

9. Jens Lehmann

SANG TAN/AP/Press ASSOCIATION ImagesSANG TAN/AP/Press ASSOCIATION ImagesOften referred to as the €˜Crazy German€™, Jens Lehmann established himself as one of Arsenal€™s greatest goalkeepers during his time in North London. He also ensured he would go down in memory as one of their most eccentric and volatile players to ever pull on the famous red and white. Although he perhaps tainted his hardman image with his silly antics with Chelsea€™s Didier Drogba, for those who don€™t remember the two 6ft plus players took to falling to the ground in dramatic fashion, despite barely pushing it each other. Not a glowing example of his hardman ways but instead a indication of his eccentric tendencies. Despite that, there is no denying that Lehmann is one of Arsenal€™s hardest ever players. Countless times he would happily scream in the faces of strikers if he felt they had left their boot in unjustifiably. Indeed, although he falls over tamely, the fact that Lehmann was willing to square up to Drogba says a lot about his character. Without doubt, he earned his title of the €˜Crazy German€™.
