One of the most popular chants at the Stadium of Light, and not for no reason, as Brown is never a player to shirk a challenge or confrontation. He only gets in at number ten for not really having a big incident to solidify his credentials, but can certainly be viewed as a player with toughness and strength. An honourable mention must be given to Dickson Etuhu, who came close to the list for a single incident against Newcastle. Following a petty kick from Joey Barton off the ball, Etuhu squared up to the much smaller midfielder and comprehensively backed him down. Barton apologised for the lunge after the game.
