10 Hardest Men Who Ever Played For Everton

9. Pat Van Den Hauwe

Known affectionately to Bluenoses as €˜Psycho Pat€™, Welsh international defender Pat Van Den Hauwe could have taught Stuart Pearce a thing or two about losing his rag. The lunatic left-back€™s style of player often bordered in brutality - just ask former Leicester man David Oldfield, who once collected a smash in the face from the player during his Millwall days - but he was a key part of the most successful side in Everton€™s history. Signed from Birmingham City for £100,000 in 1984, Van Den Hauwe won two league titles, an FA Cup and a European Cup Winner€™s Cup during his time at Goodison Park. He struck fear into the heart of wingers and sported one of the worst mullets ever seen. But nobody ever told him that to his face, surprisingly enough.
