8. Elizabeth Phillips Can't Catch A Break
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxV_mzVe9sc In her debut UFC fight against Valerie Letourneau, Elizabeth Phillips had little time to prepare (the same can be said of Letourneau) as she came in as an injury replacement. In fact both fighters did. In her second fight, she had time to prepare, but was forced to fight a world away in Macau, China, against debuting Russian fighter Milana Dudieva - who wouldn't have the same issues with jet lag and fighting in a different time zone. It was a tough fight, and wound up being a split decision loss for Phillips - her second split decision loss in a row. Now 0-2 in the UFC and 4-3 overall, Phillips might be looking at a cut, but being a fighter in a relatively small division, she might live to fight another day. Given she has been in two close fights, she deserves to - so maybe she'll finally catch a break here.
