10 Lessons We Learned From UFC On FOX 12

9. Patrick Cummins Has A Better Upside Than We Thought

He started the year slinging coffee at Starbucks, and is now 2-1 in the UFC. Not bad. Not bad at all. Patrick Cummins ruined the comeback of Kyle Kingsbury with dominant wrestling that Kingsbury simply had no answer for. How dominant was it? By the end of the bout, Cummins was approaching the light heavyweight record for most takedowns in a single 3-round fight. Cummins was visibly upset with himself after the fight for not getting the finish, but he has nothing to be ashamed of, and he has got some solid job security right now in the UFC, which I'm pretty sure is a lot better than dishing out extra-tall lattes.
