10 Most Controversial Motocross Riders Of All Time

8. Jaroslav Falta

In 1974, Czech rider Jaroslav Falta was involved in one of the most controversial races in motocross history. At the final round of the 250cc World Championship in Switzerland, Falta became a target for a whole host of Russian riders on the track. The Russians blocked, rammed and hit Falta in an attempt to help their countryman Gennady Moisseev hold onto the points lead, and take the title. It is said that the Russian fans even mover track border fences in on Falta to narrow the track. Falta did somehow overcome the attacks. However, he was later docked points as a penalty for jumping the forward falling start gate! This was enough to give Moisseev the World title, and also the first for Austrian factory, KTM. Falta would never win the illusive World Championship.
