Art Schlichter was a highly-rated first round quarterback pick by the Indianapolis Colts, but behind-the-scenes, his gambling addictions were running rampant as he stole almost $2 million from family, friends, and the public through cons, bad cheques and deceit, but blew the entire amount in Vegas. He was suspended by the NFL, and jailed during the 90s, where he was also caught gambling behind bars. Upon release, he set up a foundation to aid those with gambling addictions, but that was short-lived as he was jailed for 11 years after being involved in a multi-million dollar ticket scam. While on house arrest, waiting to be placed in a state prison, he was also found guilty of cocaine use, adding time to his sentence.
