Andre Iguodala is a fantastic athlete and player, there's no doubt about that, but nobody could have foreseen the crucial role he was to play in this year's NBA Finals. While the watching world prepared for (and got) a James vs Curry shootout, the most telling impact was made by Iggy's defensive efforts. The only man able to contain a rampaging LeBron, Iguodala prevented the Cleveland Cavaliers from winning their first ever NBA Championship, instead helping his Golden State Warriors to their first since 1975. He deservedly scooped the Finals MVP award, an unthinkable outcome of a two-horse race between either team's respective superstars.
