Nicknamed 'The Microwave' for his ability to heat up in a hurry, Vinnie Johnson was a perfectly capable (if not exactly breathtaking) bench member for the infamous 'Bad Boy' Detroit Pistons. The most fearsome team of the late 80s/early 90s era, Isaiah Thomas, Bill Laimbeer and co. tore up the league with highly uncompromising play and a boatload of unheralded talent en route to two consecutive championships. Johnson had the distinction of securing the second of these, sinking an unbelievable falling jump shot with 0.7 seconds remaining to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers 4-1.
