10 NBA Superstars Who Switched Teams In Their Primes
7. Chris Bosh
Chris Bosh was drafted 4th overall by the Toronto Raptors in 2003. When Vince Carter left in 2004, Bosh stepped up and became the team's star player. Between 2005-2010, Bosh never averaged less than 22+ points per game, he averaged 10+ rebounds three times, and only shot worse than 49% once. However, despite Bosh's MVP caliber play, the Raptors failed to build a strong team around him and, as a result, they only made the playoffs twice in five years, losing in the first round both times.
In the now infamous summer of 2010, Bosh announced that he was leaving Toronto for the Miami Heat, joining up with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to form the Big Three. In South Beach, Bosh took a back seat to LeBron and D-Wade, giving up some of his scoring output to focus on rebound and defense. He eventually evolved into one of the league's best stretch fours.
Bosh's unselfishness helped the Heat win back-to-back NBA Championships in 2012 and 2013. He famously caught the rebound and logged the assist that would become Ray Allen's miracle shot in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals.
