Adam Archuleta was a first round pick for the St. Louis Rams, impressing for five years before moving on to the Washington Redskins who made him the highest paid safety in the league with a whopping $30 million, 6-year deal. The former-Arizona State Sun Devil never recaptured his form in D.C. and despite featuring in every game of the 2006 season, he started only seven times, finishing the season with just 49 tackles and one sack. Archuleta was traded to the Bears after one season, and following another mediocre season, he left the league for good, since describing his mood during the last couple of seasons as 'miserable'.
