5. Ray Lewis - Green Bay Packers

Here is proof that the draft can be unpredictable, and often hugely frustrating for the teams involved, as Ray Lewis slipped out of the Packers' grasp one place too soon, with his name already written down on Green Bay's selection card. The story goes that Lewis was nervously on the phone to one of the Packers' representatives as Baltimore prepared to announce their first round pick (number 26). The Green Bay rep told Lewis there'd be no way Baltimore would take him, and that he'd be signing for the Packers with the next pick. The rest is history... Green Bay were left reeling afterwards, though Lewis did go on to becoming synonymous with the Ravens, and became a Baltimore legend.
