Though a lot of players in the Premier League genuinely care about their club, precious few stay with the same side for the entirety of their careers. Steven Gerrard is Mr Liverpool. He rejected the chance of winning trophy after trophy with Manchester United and Chelsea in favour of staying with his boyhood club, and that has to be commended. Gerrard is into his sixteenth season with the Reds at present and with the Merseysiders in the top four, his loyalty could pay off this season with Brendan Rodgers's side looking more likely than ever to win a trophy. There will be many neutrals out there who hope they do, for Gerrard's sake.
